offers renewable full-tuition awards to eight winners. Prior to the competition, eligible candidates will have been admitted to the University and awarded Trustee Scholarships amounting to $18,000.
Eligibility standards:
Any high school senior who has achieved an ACT score of at least 30 or a SAT score of at least 1390 (EBRW + Math) and has earned a minimum grade point average of 3.75 is eligible to compete for the University of Mount Union’s Presidential Scholarships.
Eight candidates will be awarded full-tuition Presidential Scholarships. Remaining candidates will maintain their previously awarded Trustee Scholarship of $18,000. All participating candidates will be notified of the program results by January 1, 2018.
The Presidential Scholarship program includes an on-campus visit experience, complete with interviews and conversations with members of the Mount Union community, including faculty, staff, current Presidential and Trustee Scholars, and alumni.
Candidates and their parents will be guests of the University at a luncheon. Optional campus tours will be available.
While it is not required to be admitted to the University to compete, candidates must have submitted an official transcript and test scores to demonstrate eligibility. All admission application materials must be submitted to the University the week following the competition, completing the application no later than December 8, 2017.
